  1. oooo, me first?

I can say that I had already looked and liked the Forest Echo cottage because 1) dogs allowed! 2) hot tub, and 3) hot tub! Did I mention dogs allowed?? :)

Friends went to Seabrook last spring and had a good time.

  2. Seabluff at Seabrook sounds heavenly for me, my husband and the kids. It has an ocean view, a game room, a hot tub, nature trails … what’s not to love?!?

  3. Beautiful! That looks like an incredible destination for family and more! I love the interiors of all the homes - but the appeal of the little cottages is so “beachy vacationy,” I’d love it and so would my kids!

  13. Oh what fun! My fingers are crossed…we could really use a vacation! If I were to win a stay at Seabrook, I would definitely choose to stay at the Seabluff at Seabrook so I could have my parents stay comfortably with my family and I. The kids will be entertained with the game room and the adults will enjoy relaxing in the hot tub after the kids are in bed. This is an outstanding option for our family, as we would really be able to enjoy eachother’s company as well as have enough space to be on our own.

I admit I liked this one because of it’s ocean view, the hot tub and the fact that it will sleep my family and the family of friends!

  21. If I were to pick a vacation cottage, the Seabluff home would be my choice. We have five children and live in a 1500 sq ft home so the extra space would be an amazing luxury for us! We have four boys and finally a baby girl, The older boys would really enjoy the game room and the beach. There isn’t one thing about this home that our children wouldn’t enjoy. I can just imagine spending a weekend there as a family and getting to spend quality time with each other. Having such a large family limits our vacation plans a lot. We drive down to see family in the summer, and we camp, but that is about it. We would love to stay at the Seabluff and would treasure every moment and memory during and for years after our stay if chosen.

  29. They all look divine…. heated bathroom floors I mean c’mon does it get any better then that ?

I’m thinking though that if I must choose I’d go with the Seabluff at Seabrook. It reminds me of the beach houses we used to rent when I lived on the East Coast. Love the idea of a wraparound porch and the game room…ahh, I think I’ve begun to drool.

With a BBQ, fire pit, hot tub, space for games at the table and the beach nearby I can guarantee my kids willnot be playing Gameboy or Playstation. 60. Seabluff at Seabrook- Very family friendly with the game room, yet enough luxury to pamper the parents!

    Posted by Midori | May 28, 2008, 9:25 am
  61. Sand Dollar Cottage - this would be oh so great for a family weekend - the outdoor shower seems trivial, but it would be a hit, and the fenced yard makes hanging out with the kids so much more relaxing! The location is great, and I think we would have a blast and totally feel away!

    Posted by Claire | May 28, 2008, 9:26 am
  62. I like Ocean’s Song with the Writer’s Loft. It’s one of the few cottages with an ocean view that accepts larger dogs, and it even has a fenced yard for our pooch to enjoy! I love the idea of a writer’s loft, even though I wouldn’t plan to do anything other than relax while there…

  70. The Eleanor cottage would be such a refreshing getaway for me and my son. I am a single mom who babysits everyday and takes care of the errands and chores on the weekends. A getaway like this would rock my world. I am also very much into photography and would really enjoy the pictoral history of Seabrook. The wood burning stove and the porch to sit and sip tea on look mighty fine as well. Color me simple but that would be a perfect getaway!! Pick me, pick me, please, please, please!!

  74. Wow…so many to choose from. I like the Indigo w/carriage house. It has a hot tub, is near a park, and from the pictures it looks to not have as many breakables as some of the other cottages. It would also be cool to take a second family along to stay in the carriage house.

    Posted by Heffalump | May 28, 2008, 11:36 am
  75. My vote is for the Central Park w/ Carriage House. It would be great to bring extended family. Plus who can go wrong with a hot tub & wireless internet (a must!).

    Posted by Lindsey | May 28, 2008, 11:56 am
  76. I love Sea’s the Day. It looks perfect for my family–bunk beds, hot tub, porch, dog-friendly and an espresso machine! What more could you ask for?

    Posted by Heather | May 28, 2008, 12:49 pm
  77. Of course I entered the contest without looking at the Eleanor cottage first…there isn’t room for us, we have six children, so even if we won we wouldn’t be able to use it since it only allows four people.
Small families get all the perks…

    Posted by Heffalump | May 28, 2008, 1:07 pm
  78. Wow - I’d have to say the Shifting Gears cottage. After all, if we won that’s what we’d be doing - shifting gears. From going at the speed of light to slowing down to sit and soak in the hot tub!

  83. Hmm, it’s a toss-up between the “Seastar Cottage” and the “Seabluff at Seabrook.” Love the outdoor showers (reminds me of outer banks, NC vacations) and a hot tub is a big hit. I love the big porches on both. I think I’ll pick Seastar because it’s so kid friendly!

    Posted by ANNE | May 28, 2008, 2:34 pm

  87. Do I really have to pick. Well I decided to pick using a scenario that may actually happen. My parents come into town this summer so I entered our numbers and what they had available with an ocean view and voila…I came up with the sand dollar…anyone that knows me recognize the paint? Yes we have the SAME paint colors in our house so I feel we would be right at home there. Also the cottage is MUCH more stylishly decorated than mine so I could get some much needed ideas!!!!
    LOVE IT!!!!

  105. I am a first time mom-to-be and after the baby is born I would love to take a mini vacation… is that wishful thinking? I also own a business and work everyday with my mom. She is wonderful and deserves a mini vacation too. I would love to have the grandparents join us and be able to bond with their first granddaughter in the Weldin House. The dog-friendly fenced yard and hot tub sold me!

  106. Well, we don’t have a family of small children anymore (hope to again some day) but we do LOVE to spoil our nieces and nephews and our large dog baby would certainly enjoy a good romp at the beach so I choose Weldin House. It has a hot tub, room for teenage nieces and nephews and our dog and the beauty of the community and the beach.

We’ve had several home and family challenges lately and would love the chance for a beach get-a-way weekend.

  108. Central Park with Carriage sounds like the perfect getaway for our large family. It’s been a while since we’ve been able to get away from the hectic life of school/work. What appealed to me most was the the accommodations, no pets allowed (allergies!), and all the extras. Hot tub, porch, beautiful kitchen, King bed - YES, YES, YES!!!

  109. I love Beach Break. Two porches = heaven. Hot tub=double heaven. Having more bathrooms than bedrooms? Whoa. How fun to be right on the trail to the ocean, too.

  110. Our Family Beach House - right on the park.

  111. I love the Hodgepodge Lodge because it reminds me of those New England red barns we left behind on the East Coast. Plus, it’s at a great location right off the beach and forest trails. Since it’s pet-friendly, we could also bring our cat! The West Coast branch of our ‘family’ is spread out from Los Angeles up to Vancouver; it would be nice to get a whole group together for a nice beach weekend in this spacious cottage.

  112. Shifting Gears! Oh, please, a vacation where we can invite The Grandma’s and yet we aren’t on anyone’s “home turf” — imagine the sweetness.

  114. Wow, I’d love to stay at Pacific Idyll w/ Carriage House. Why? Ocean views, carraige house to put the grandparents in, and the 3rd floor game room rocks!
    Hope I’m the winner!

  115. Hodgepodge lodge sounds incredibly relaxing. Myself and two other friends are expecting their second babies soon. We could all take our baby moon’s together, what fun! Travel isn’t going to be easy or plentiful soon. This sounds like just what we need. We love finding little spots we can return to over and over again.

  116. They all looked fantastic, makes it hard to choose! Have to go with Beach Time though. Being close to the beach is the best!

  117. All of your cottages look GREAT but I liked Sea’s the day. I would like to win for my daughter. We are in the process of moving our preschool, her birthday is 6/29, and she is going to have her first baby in August. She and her husband have been working really hard and need a break. Thanks for the opportunity.

  118. The Sandpiper is my personal favorite cottage. It’s small and peaceful but big enough to be comfortable and relazing. Not to mention the beach is five minutes away. We in the Northwest love to walk and be outside and it’s in the perfect location to walk everywhere we need to go. I just love this cute little cottage the perfect beach getaway!

I also posted on my blog about this.

  120. I took a look at their site and saw a few of the cottages, but really I found it hard to navigate the site. :-(
While I would love a vacation there, but I didn’t enjoy looking at the site.

  123. There are so many nice cottages! I think I’ll pick Sand in the Toes. My kids would love the bunkbeds, and I would love the master suite and hot tub!

  124. Our Family Beach House sounds fabulous! It has everything our family could want…. close to nature trails, the playground across the street and the beach not to far away. For me the hot tub and heavenly beds seal the deal!

  129. The Sweet Spot would be perfect. My inlaws are coming for the first time since we moved almost 3 years ago. We were planning on taking them to ocean shores but tomorrow I am going to suggest seabrook. We will be going to celebrate my youngest 3rd birthday (they last came when she was 8 weeks old) and their 39th anniversary. We would have the perfect vacation, walks along the beach, bike rides with our two little girls (we would bring their bikes), bbq, play in the sand box, explore seabrook, and even sneak out for a moonlite walk with my husband while Grandma puts the princesses to bed.

  130. Yep, Seabluff. But this marketing plan is brilliant. I stayed on their site for 45 minutes checking it all out. Any one of them would be awesome.

  132. I’d love to stay at Leah’s Lighthouse with Carriage House. Our family would love to go to the WA shore (we’ve never been and Seabrook seems like the ideal place to go on the shore!) and bring some family and friends. Wow, that would be a treat. It would be an amazing vacation for us as we don’t have the resources to do this type of thing otherwise. My daughter would LOVE it. I would too!
