Belli Product Reviews

Several of our members tried out Pamper Me Talc-Free Baby Powder and Eye Brightening Cream from Belli Skin Care. More information on the company is available on our main review page. Here’s what they had to say about the experience:

“I received the baby powder and the eye cream. I’ve used both over the last week since they arrived. Both products are nicely packaged and have a good appearance and smell. I hadn’t been using baby powder on my son before this, but did use the powder this week, especially after the all-night wet diapers. The powder was easy to apply and had a good smell- so I didn’t mind when it got on me. It seemed to help keep Ethan drier between diapers too. I cant compare it to another powder since I haven’t used any others, but I did like this one.

As for the eye cream- it went on easily and felt nice. I think it helped me look slightly more human, but it would be a big order for any cream to make up for the exhaustion of the last few weeks! I enjoyed using the eye cream and plan to continue to do so.

For both products, I’ve liked them but wont probably buy any more when I run out, since the prices are a little out of my league these days.” - Carrie from Growing a Baby in Seattle

“I was so excited to receive these in the mail, even though the last time I was a ‘new mother’ was 4 years ago! After my daughter had a good time playing with the bubble wrap that the products were carefully placed in (thank you for that!), I was able to see what I’d received!

First off, the hand-written note by the co-founder, Annette Rubin, was so nice and made me feel like a superstar. Then, I checked out the powder - Pamper Me Talc-free Powder. It smells so good, I almost want to have another baby so I have a little bum to powder it with. However, even though I have no wee bums in the house, I do have feet, and so does my daughter. This powder is perfect for flip flop feet and we had a marvelous time powdering each other’s feet, just like a couple of girls! Add to that the fact that we didn’t have to be concerned about inhaling dangerous talc or other chemicals and you’ve got a really awesome product! I will continue using it throughout the summer months to keep my feet soft and dry and smelling good!

Next, I tried the Eye Brightening Cream, which should be a staple of any woman’s beauty regimen, whether she’s a new mother or not a mother at all. We ALL get tired eyes once in awhile, therefore, we ALL can reap the rewards of this awesome cream. After applying it under my eyes, which, by the way, were woken up at 2, 2:33, 3, and 4 a.m. due to various child “emergencies” the night before, I looked at my husband and said, “Do I look more awake?” And he said, “Yeah babe.” So, you know it was working. Either that or I’ve got one fabulously trained man on my hands. Either way, I don’t feel like I need to cover up my tired eyes with cheap sunglasses when I use this stuff and I look forward to incorporating it into my regular “beauty” routine which does not, at this time, even include washing my face before bed (did I just admit that?)!

I was intrigued by the company and glanced through their catalog. There, I found several products that I will definitely be ordering in the future including, but not limited to, the hand sanitizer - I mean, what mom can’t use some of that?

Thanks again for the opportunity to sample these products! I’ll be spreading the word about the company to all my friends and family, even the ones without kids!” - Carrie from Third Time’s a Charm?

“Belli is not just wonderful for tired moms and stinky babies, it’s something I can foresee using years and years from now as well. I love the soothing eye cream for my tired eyes. After turning thirty, I’ve noticed those bags under my eyes that remind me of someone I never was. The Belli eye product, although used only a short time, feels cool and refreshing in the morning. And I don’t know about you, but my baby smells like diapers and Desitin. The Talc-Free baby powder give him a fresh scent more like what you expect a baby to smell like and less like the landfill he usually does.

I loved the opportunity to try these products and absolutely would put them in a gift package for new moms in the future. It’s worth it.” - Mrs. Flinger

“We love to use baby powder at our house. So much so that we’ve been using baby powder it long before we had a baby, and thus had any use for “baby powder”. I admit we’ve always used the powder that lies somewhere between “on sale” and “store brand”. And while I assumed they were all the same, I discovered a few weeks ago that this isn’t true.

Enter Belli “Pamper Me” Baby Powder.

My first impression, I admit, was the pretty packaging. Come on, we all like to think that packing means nothing to us, but it’s a lie. I like cute little containers that look lovely setting on Babboo’s dresser. (I like things with glitter also. But, alas, Belli has not succumbed to using fancy glitter on their products.)

I also like products that cut right to the chase and using the phrase “pamper me” in the product name does just that. “Pamper me” makes me think of soft candles, spa days, and fuzzy robes. All things that I love and dream of on a daily basis.

When applying the Belli baby powder to my child’s precious and alway-moist special parts, I instantly realized the Belli powder seemed to have a drier consistency then the “store brand” powders we’ve used in the past. It spread on his skin easier and seemed lighter and smoother. There was also no overwhelming smell, which makes me usually associate a product with “cheap perfumes”.

And yet, the best part about the Belli powder was the fact that the round package was small enough to fit into my Sweet Babboo’s hands. Each diaper change, when I begin to apply the powder he grabs the container from my hands and yells “Babboo do it”. And then, with legs spread eagle and straight up in the air, he begins to shake, rattle, and roll the powder on his tiny body.

It makes me laugh every time.

And for me, that’s enough to make the Belli baby powder worth every penny.” - Hola Isabel

“The Belli powder is a must have. It’s light, unlike other powders I’ve tried before and has a nice subtle fragrance to it which is so much better then other heavily perfumed powders. I’ve taken to sprinkling a little bit on myself after a shower and it is indeed divine.” - Worker Mommy from Because I Must Blog

“I’m really liking the under-eye cream… so far I haven’t noticed it making me look any less tired than usual, but I love the silky texture and the slight shimmer to help the dark circles not look quite so dark. It feels like a mini spa treatment for myself each time I use it.

The talc-free powder has become my after-shower powder and I love the scent and texture. I definitely plan on using it when our baby is born!” - Holly from Ramblings of a Seattle-Area Mom

“I really liked the eye puffy cream. It felt really light, natural and silky and I thought it made me look refreshed.” – Eve from Good Enough

“I am really not the makeup wearing or skin pampering type of woman that actually even has a regular skin care regimen besides using soap so when I was asked to try out & then give my opinion on some new products I kind of looked at my neighbor in a funny kind of way and my first thought was (wow I must be looking pretty rough and in need of free skin care products) so I just said what I normally tell any salesperson that approaches me, “thanks but I only use all natural products” which almost always works and they go away thinking I am some kind of Neanderthal and deprived sort of person that they will not be wasting any more of their time on.

But it didn’t work with her she actually smiled and said “I know so this is perfect because they are all natural and have no toxins and were created by a local doctor!!” So I said yes and then forgot about it until a few weeks later this fancy brown package from Belli Motherhood came in the mail. I opened it and saw that there was baby powder which was weird since my son has not needed this sort of thing for a really long time now and I couldn’t remember ordering anything lately then a little box feel out that contained an Eye Brightening Cream and I have to say I started to get more interested in the mystery box.

I don’t know about any of you ladies but I think most women over 30 and all new mothers wouldn’t mind not feeling tired or having tired looking eyes so I used this cream once per day and not every day but I did make a point to try & remember to use it at night before going to bed and after a week of this kind of use I have to say it really worked. It’s a catch22 like all good things because now when this tube is all gone I will have to buy some more and then where will the skin product thing go from there?!!

Anyways given my past background in research I had to look up the ingredients to make sure they were free of paraben preservatives, dyes, and synthetic fragrances and were free of teratology’s (bad chemicals that are linked to birth defects)and that they used the organically grown ingredients whenever possible as they claimed.

I am waiting for an answer on what some of these ingredients are and emailed the founder of the company and will include these clarifications and then my conclusion tomorrow.” - Crafty By Nature

“I love, love, love this baby powder. The only danger I see is that I may end up eating my babies when they’re covered in it.

The eye cream felt great and it gave enough improvement to my raging dark eye bags this morning to make me not look like a zombie.” – Daring Young Mom
