Alkelda the Gleeful is trained as a children’s librarian and now works as a freelance storyteller. She is the mother of a four year old daughter who goes by the name of “Lucia” on the blog. She is married to Tony Dowler, a technical writer who also has his own blog. Two regular features of her blog are “Children’s Books that Never Were” and “Song of the Week.”
